The PROXIMA shower chair is designed to make the Charcot shower procedure not only as effective as possible for clients, but also comfortable for the massage therapist. The working pressure in the massage jets is maintained at 4 bar. Particular attention is paid to the mobility and flexibility of the jets. The massage nozzles are made in the form of flexible hoses that are easy to manipulate for point and repeated treatment of certain areas of the body. The nozzle tips have two fixed positions – for massage with a point (concentrated) water jet and a flat fan-shaped jet. During a Charcot shower, you can easily provide the desired configuration of water jets by simply switching the nozzle to one of the two positions.

The PROXIMA shower chair is equipped with a system for thermostabilising the water in the massage jets. With the help of thermal mixer taps, you can quickly and accurately set the desired water temperature. The taps are equipped with a burn protection option. When the temperature rises to 40°C, the tap is automatically locked. This ensures that the patient is not exposed to too hot a jet. If it is still necessary to increase the temperature, the operator can unlock the tap with a special button. The system is designed to meet the most stringent European safety standards.

Ще однією особливістю душової кафедри PROXIMA є зручні, ергономічні підлокітники. Підлокітники виготовляються зі склопластику – аналогічно, як і корпус кафедри. Тому органічно виглядають на панелі управління. Підлокітники можна регулювати по висоті, фіксуючи в двох положеннях.

Крім душа Шарко, кафедра PROXIMA може забезпечувати можливість управління роботою установок для циркулярного і висхідного душів (модель Proxima Lux). Такі душі можуть доповнювати процедуру душа Шарко. Установки для циркулярного і висхідного душів не входять до комплекту поставки душовою кафедри PROXIMA, їх можна замовити окремо.

A protective screen with a patient handrail is available as an additional option for the shower chair. The screen is mounted to the floor in the area where the patient is located during the procedure. During a Charcot shower, due to the high pressure in the water stream, there is a fairly strong splashing action. To reduce the humidity in the room and protect the walls from direct exposure to the water jet, it is recommended to localise the splash zone with a screen.

Another additional option is a shower system for contrast showering according to the Kneipp method. To perform this procedure, the PROXIMA shower chair is equipped with a separate hose with an open end and a special tap that allows you to quickly switch the water temperature hot/cold.

If the water supply network to the inlet of the shower head does not provide sufficient water pressure for the Charcot shower, it is possible to install a pumping station to increase the pressure. This option can be added when ordering a PROXIMA shower enclosure.
