The product is used for massage treatments for illnesses of peripheral nervous system, vertebral syndromes, metabolic disorders, in order to stimulate adaptive processes of human body, conditioning to cold, correction of excess weight, cellulite. Thanks to ability to adjust temperature and pressure of supplied water streams, the pulpit provides both Charcot shower and contrast (Scottish) shower.
The pressure in the nozzles is up to 4 atmospheres. Usually, a Charcot shower is performed at a pressure of 3-4 atmospheres. This pressure ensures the optimal effect of water jets on the patient’s body. For patients with sensitive skin, the massage is performed with less pressure. The overall dimensions of the chair are 74×87 cm. It should be borne in mind that during the procedure, the patient is placed against the opposite wall, the distance to it should be about 4 m. The floor, walls and ceiling of the room should be protected from water, as the procedure involves quite a lot of splashing.
The body of the DSH-2 is made of durable fibreglass. The manufacturer provides a 2-year warranty for the surface of the chair.
Shower chairs are used for hydromassage procedures such as Charcot showers. It is also possible to carry out contrast showers (“Scottish shower”) using water jets of contrasting temperatures. Pressure and temperature can be adjusted for each jet individually. The temperature and pressure are displayed on the thermometer and pressure gauge on the control panel.
Water is supplied to the massage jets via a thermostatic tap. This allows you to maintain a fixed water temperature between 20°C and 45°C. This eliminates the possibility of either too hot or too cold water getting on the patient.
It is easy to operate the shower chair. The Charcot shower should be performed by a massage therapist with basic medical training. This is necessary for the patient’s safety, as not all areas of the human body can be directly exposed to massage jets. To perform therapeutic showers, you need to know the techniques of classical massage and human anatomy.
